Judy Skipper is co-owner of Glenn and Co. Inc., an insurance
business in Birmingham, and she has two children. |
1989 Jenifer Goforth
Jenifer graduated from
the University of Alabama, Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Accounting in May,
2003. She worked at Ernst and Young, LLP in Birmingham for nearly ten
years as a senior manager in the audit practice. She is currently
employed as Senior Vice President and Director of Investor Relations at
Regions Financial Corporation in Birmingham. Jenifer resides in
Vestavia Hills, AL where she is active in the Riverchase United Methodist
Church and serves as the national president of the American Woman's Society
of CPAs.

Leigh Graham Thompson is
a Vice President and Certified Public Accountant with BancTrust
Financial Group,
Inc., in Mobile, Alabama. She holds a graduate degree in banking from
the
Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University and
a BS degree in Accounting from the University of South Alabama. She is
married to Hutch Thompson of Mobile, and has two sons, Jack and Matthew.
She has been active in Junior Miss for the past 15 years, working with
Clarke County’s Junior Miss Program, the National Junior Miss Program in
Mobile, and serving as a judge for various county programs. |

Emily currently lives with her husband,
Phillip Smith and son,
Eli, in Fernandina Beach, Florida. She serves as graphic artist for Jax
Federal Credit Union in Jacksonville, FL and is active in her her church, as
well as civic and community events. Since serving as Clarke County's
Junior Miss and Alabama's Junior Miss Spirit Award Winner, she has judged
several Junior Miss competitions in south Alabama and northwest Florida. |

Kelly Atchison Jones

Kelly graduated from the University of
Montevallo with a degree in Hearing-Impaired. She moved to Birmingham and
began teaching at McAdory High School. Kelly married Brent Jones in 2002
and they recently became the proud parents of Amelia Grace. They also have
two dogs, Bailey and Fisher. Though still teaching now, Kelly looks forward
to becoming a stay-at-home mom with her young daughter. |

1971 Wylynn Gilmore Phillippi
V. Wylynn Gilmore Phillippi received her
BS degree at Birmingham Southern College in 1974 and her JD from Birmingham
School of Law in 1979. Wylynn is a member of the Family Law Section of
the Alabama State Bar. Her practice consists of domestic, civil,
criminal, personal injury and probate work, but has become specialized in
domestic relations and criminal defense work. Her practice has taken
her into all counties in southwest Alabama. Wylynn has spoken to and
participats in the annual Alabama State Bar Family Law Section's Divorce on
the Beach Seminar. Wylynn is admitted to practice in the state Courts
of Alabama and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern, Middle, and
Northern Districts of Alabama. Wylynn is married to W.R. Phillippi, II,
DMD, of Camden, Alabama and they have two sons, Billy and Wyman. |

1996 Daisy Edge McVay
After graduating from Grove Hill Academy,
Daisy attended Troy State University and graduated with honors earning a
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. She married Wyatt McVay in 1999 and
moved to Auburn, Alabama where she has been employed by Machen, McChesney,
and Chastain, LLP for the past 5˝ years. She and Wyatt are expecting
their first child, Margaret Joy, in April, 2005. Upon Maggie’s birth,
Daisy plans to be a stay-at-home mom. In Auburn, she and Wyatt are
involved in Parkway Baptist Church and she has remained active in Junior
Miss in Lee County as their Judges Chair. |

1975 Joy Atchison Bailey
As the 4th Alternate to Alabama's Junior Miss and a
Scholastic Achievement Award recipient, Joy Atchison attended Spring Hill
College on a Junior Miss Scholarship. In 1979, she graduated Cum Laude
with a BS Degree. She went on to earn her MD degree (also Cum Laude)
from the UAB School of Medicine in 1983 where she won the Dean's Award
for Clinical Excellence. She completed a Pediatric Endocrinology Fellowship
at the University of Pittsburgh in 1990 and is currently a Clinical
Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Alabama - Birmingham. Joy is married to Phil Bailey and they are the proud
parents of two daughters, Maggie (16) and Lily (5). While in med
school and shortly after her marriage, Joy was diagnosed with diabetes.
Today she stays very busy with her family, her medical practice caring for
diabetic children and fund-raising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research
Foundation (JDRF). |

1978 Terri Jones Slayton
Terri graduated from Jackson Academy in 1978
as Valedictorian of her class. She married Wayne Slayton in
1979 and
they have two daughters,
Dacy Brooke and Jenilee. Terri
earned Associate of Arts and Applied
Science degrees from Patrick Henry Junior College in Monroeville. She
and her husband own Slayton Brothers, Inc., a lawn and garden equipment
business in Jackson, AL where they reside. Terri has served as
director of the Washington County Junior Miss Program and also as a program
judge. Both daughters were runners-up in the Clarke County Junior Miss
Program. |
1998 Leila Tarleton Holley
Leila Tarleton Holley, Miss
University of Alabama 2000, resides in Tuscaloosa, AL. She is married to
Reid Holley and has one son, Jack. Leila is now the Executive Director of
Child Abuse Prevention Services of Tuscaloosa, Inc. She and another former
Miss UA, Shannon Camper Gryska, have formed a music ministry called

Amy is a 2003 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the
University of Alabama with degrees in Theatre and Vocal Performance.
She is married to Matt Davis and they reside in Grove Hill, AL.
Amy is owner/instructor of the Clarke-Davis Performing Arts Studio where she
teaches classical ballet, tap, jazz, voice, drama, and musical theatre.
She serves on the Grove Hill Arts Council and the Clarke County Junior
Miss Committee. She is also an active member of the Grove Hill United
Methodist Church where she sings in the choir. Amy and Matt are the

2000 Lauren Colvin
Lauren is a 2004 graduate of the
University of Mobile with a degree in accounting. Lauren was
awarded the Annie Boyd Parker Weaver Auxiliary Award for the female senior
who best exemplified the outstanding qualities of character, leadership and
service. She also received the Alumni Award, William K. Weaver
Honorary Fellows Undergraduate Award, School of Business Award and area
award in accounting.

1981 Diane Wright Horton
Diane graduated The University of Alabama
in May, 1986 with
a BS in Microbiology, and graduated from the UAB
School of Public Health
in December, 1991 with a Master's Degree in Epidemiology. She
has worked in the clinical research industry for 13 years, with the
last 7 years as a contract
research consultant. Diane married Chris Horton in May, 1985 and they
have lived in Birmingham, since October, 1987, presently in Vestavia Hills.
They currently have 2 children, Daniel
(7) and Anna (2). They adopted Anna from Ukraine in August 2004 and
will travel back to Ukraine in May, 2005 to adopt her twin brothers (age 5). |

Bank in Birmingham. Emily is married to Tyler Bagley and they reside in Trussville.

in Tuscaloosa with a degree in Elementary Education. Kari is currently
teaching 2nd grade at Oak Mountain Elementary School in Shelby County.
She is engaged to Matt Powell of Leroy. They plan to marry on July 26,
2008 at Grove Hill Baptist Church. She and Matt will be residing in
Hoover after the wedding. |

She also serves on the Mentorship Committee for the Student Government
Association and is a member of Emerging Leaders, as well as Phi Eta Sigma,
Alpha Lambda Delta, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars (honor
societies). She is a UA Athletic Hostess and volunteers for the RISE
program (for Down's Syndrome children), ART for ALL (for underprivileged
children), and LINKS for LITERACY (reading program). |

1985 Mary Reeves Shirey
Mary lives in Mobile. She graduated from the University of
Mobile (Mobile College) in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Communications, where she was honored to be named Miss Mobile College 1987.
She married Dr. Mark Shirey, an optometrist, in December of 1995 and is
blessed to be able to stay home with their beautiful 3 year old daughter.
Mary has had the privilege to judge, emcee and entertain at various pageants
and programs over the years on local and state levels, including emceeing
this past year's Clarke Co. Jr Miss Program. Over the last few years, she
has coached young women competing in local Junior Miss programs and Miss
Alabama. Mary is a member of the University of Mobile Alumni Board and the
Miss University of Mobile Board.

High School. She is currently a Dean's List student at the University
of Mobile where she is in the Honors Program
and a Lady Ram on the inaugural volleyball team. She plans to pursue a

Paige graduated in 1990 from the
University of Alabama with a degree in Marketing. She worked for ten
years in the Hospitality Industry doing sales and property management.
In 1993, she married John Phillips. They reside in Alpharetta, Georgia
where Paige is the stay-at-home mother of two sons, Seth (age 6) and Cade,
(age 1 1/2). |

of 2007 at Thomasville High School and currently attends the University of
South Alabama where she is majoring in pre-physical therapy. She
aspires to have her own clinic one day for children with CP and other
disabilities. Hannah participates in Chi Omega, Chi Omega Community
Service Chair, Campus Outreach (Christian-based program), and Intramurals
(Volleyball and Softball) and was recently crowned Miss Alabama Agriculture. |

Ellie is the salutatorian of the Class of 2008 at Clarke County High School.
During her high school years, she participated in Alabama Girls State
(elected County District Attorney), Senior Beta Club (Secretary), DECA
(President), and was elected Junior Class Secretary and Class Favorite.
Ellie will be attending Auburn University in the fall where she plans to
major in Economics or Political Science. |
